Data protection policy

ARAVOLTE (see our legal notice for more information about our company)

is required to process the personal data of its customers and visitors to the website accessible via the URLs www.aravolte.fr and www.aravolte.com (hereinafter referred to as "the Site" or "our Site").

This Policy describes the operations carried out on the personal data of customers and visitors (hereinafter referred to as "you" or "your"), the rights you have over your personal data, how to exercise these rights, and information on cookies. The Policy complements the legal notices and general terms and conditions of our Site.

We invite you to read this Policy carefully and regularly. If this Policy is modified, you will be informed on the Site and/or by e-mail.

When do we collect your data?

We may collect your personal data in various ways, when you register, order products or visit our Site, subscribe to our Newsletter or contact us by email, post or telephone.

Your data may also have been transmitted to us by partners, in order to check comments and opinions on our products. The data transmitted to us by these partners when you have agreed to write a comment or give your opinion are only your first or last name, your comment or opinion.

If we need information in particular because of a legal, regulatory or contractual obligation or simply in order to be able to process your request or reply to you, we will inform you. If you do not provide this information, we may be unable to process your request or order. Fields on a form that are not compulsory are left to your discretion. It is up to you to decide whether or not to fill them in.

Why do we process them?

We process your personal data solely for the following purposes and on the legal grounds indicated in italics:

• ‍as part of customer file management : 

  • in execution of the sales contract for the management of customers, including the creation of online accounts; the management of contracts, orders, deliveries, invoicing, payments, purchase history and returns;

  • in the legitimate interest of ARAVOLTE to carry out and/or promote its activity: the follow-up of the relationship and the realization of satisfaction surveys or other studies; the management of unpaid invoices and litigation; as well as the sending of communications or promotions to customers; the selection and analysis of customer purchase histories to carry out loyalty actions; the management of accounting.

• to manage newsletter subscriptions - based on your consent : tracking newsletter subscriptions and unsubscriptions.
• as part of the management of requests and comments or opinions - on the basis of ARAVOLTE's legitimate interest in responding to these requests and to comply with a legal obligation when you exercise one of the rights provided for in this Policy: to respond to requests and comments sent through our Site or by any other means; to follow up on these requests and comments; management of people's opinions on products, services or content.

To whom may we communicate your personal data? 

Your personal data will only be transmitted or made accessible for the purposes strictly related to those described above.

In other words, in the following cases:

• internally at ARAVOLTE, to the persons in charge of processing your requests, orders and other operations;
• ARAVOLTE's technical service providers such as our webmaster for maintenance or correction operations and online payment service providers;
• companies in charge of managing and verifying notices and comments ;
• to social networks when you accept the deposit of associated cookies and/or click on the sharing buttons present on our Site.

How long do we keep your personal data? 

For each purpose we have determined a retention period, in order to keep your data only for as long as is really necessary for the purpose for which your personal data are processed.

Thus, in the context of :

• customer file management :
  - to manage your account and post comments online or on any other medium: as long as your account is active, then for 3 years after your last action (certain data relating to invoicing, orders and contracts will be archived for the duration of the applicable legal statute of limitations, either because of a legal obligation to retain them, or for evidential purposes);
  - for payments: for the time required to complete the transaction, except in the event of a payment incident, in which case data will be kept for the time required to process the file, plus the applicable legal statute of limitations;
• management of requests and comments: for the time required to process your request or comment, then archived for the duration of the applicable legal statute of limitations;
• newsletter registration: until you unsubscribe (via the unsubscribe link or by sending a request as provided for the other rights below: contact form, email or by post);

What are your rights and how can you exercise them?

In accordance with the regulations applicable to the protection of personal data (Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 and RGPD) and under the conditions provided by the said regulations, you have the following rights over your personal data: 

• a right ofaccess (in particular to find out what personal data is processed by ARAVOLTE)
• rectification (to modify data that is incorrect or out of date)
• erasure (under conditions set by the RGPD - Article 17 - such as in the event that you have objected to the processing of your data, you have withdrawn your consent, or the retention period has expired) 
• a right to withdraw any consent given (when you give your consent, you should know that you can withdraw it at any time without having to give reasons - for example, when unsubscribing from the Newsletter)
• portability (under the conditions laid down by the RGPD - Article 20 - when the processing is linked to the performance of a contract or consent and is automated, and you wish to retrieve your data or have it retrieved by a third party) 
• limitation (under the conditions set by the RGPD - article 18 - when you wish the processing of your personal data to be temporarily suspended due to an event meeting the above conditions)
• opposition for processing carried out by ARAVOLTE on the basis of its legitimate interests, such as the management of requests, customer canvassing, etc.).

Prospecting and Newsletter. Please note that you have the right at any time and without justification, 

• the right to withdraw any consent given(circulation of comments and subscription to the Newsletter), 
• but also a right to object to the processing of your Data for commercial prospecting purposes (for ARAVOLTE customers more specifically), including profiling for such purposes. 

Withdrawal or opposition to receiving these messages (offers or Newsletter) may be exercised either by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each of our promotional or Newsletter emails, or by sending a request as provided for other rights.

Are transfers outside the EU planned?

Transfers are likely to be carried out within the framework of the intervention of one of our technical service providers. These transfers are governed by guarantees as provided for by the applicable regulations. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.

Which cookies for which use?

A cookie (or any other tracking device referred to in this policy as a "cookie") is a text file stored by an Internet site on your computer or cell phone or any other terminal, in order to collect or store data concerning your browsing on this site.

ARAVOLTE currently uses only technical cookies. You can oppose or block their deposit by configuring your browser (in the browser settings), however we inform you that you may have a degraded version of the Site.
